I find it really hard to pass by little carved wooden objects

handwoven on a backstop loom

with little wear to the finish in a few spots (I have not touched the wood)

Woman with Flowered Hat Hand-painted Spanish Postcard, 1913 leaf design or using as a planterI just love the image of this decked out woman, with huge hat like a rose garden, completely concealing her head, and reiterated with garland like trim on the back and cuffs of her jacket. My Spanish is, embarrassingly, close to non existent, but the front text seems perhaps to be suggesting shopping now and paying later though I am not totally sure?!? Sent to a Teresa Granell in Buena Vista, Valls (Catalonia, Spain) in May of 1913. Watercolor on
